Rep. Norm Johnson opens up with KIT about the governor

Rep. Norm Johnson, R-Yakima, was blunt during a recent interview with KIT.  In discussing the recent problems surrounding the Department of Transportation and the firing of Transportation Secretary Lynn Peterson, Johnson remarked, “It’s been just a comedy of errors around here, and finally they had the gumption to get up and say we’ve had enough.”

As for the reaction of the governor, who called the Senate firing a ‘political stunt,’ Johnson said, “He’s a stunt.  He had to run to Yakima just to malign Senator King in his own district.”  Of King, he added, “Whether you agree or disagree with him, he is probably one of the most honorable men in Olympia.”

Johnson’s remarks came in just the first five minutes of the show.  Check out what else he had to say, here.
