Rep. Norm Johnson puts Legislative page to the test on KIT
Listeners on KIT radio got a full range of information straight from the state House as Rep. Norm Johnson, R-Yakima guested on the morning show and introduced both a legislative page and a Yakima doctor.
Jackson Jamison, a student at Selah Middle School, talked about his stint in the legislature under the tutelage of the longtime state Representative. Then Johnson introduced Dr. Ben Winters, who discussed his concerns about children’s vision. Earlier in the day, Winters had made a presentation before joint meeting of the Healthcare Committee and the Early Learning and Human Services Committee. The doctor will also make a presentation before the Education Committee.
Johnson revealed that he is working on legislation concerning eye care for children that may be introduced next session.
